NFL Preview - National Football Conference

NFC EAST -

  • Dallas Cowboys - With Jason Garrett calling the plays last season, the offense was dynamite. Same goes for this year. (Projected #4 in NFC)
  • New York Giants - The season hasn’t even begun and this team has been decimated by injuries. Bad news big blue. (Projected #10 in NFC)
  • Philadelphia Eagles - They are the off season’s reigning paper champions, but just like the Heat, they will fold under the pressure. They need more to to jel as a unit. (Projected #3 in NFC)
  • Washington Redskins - Rex Grossman is your starting QB. Enough said. (Projected #12 in NFC)

NFC NORTH -

  • Chicago Bears - Overachieved last season by leaps and bounds. Won’t be so lucky this time around. (Projected #13 in NFC)
  • Detroit Lions - They got buzz, their bandwagon is full, and they are poised to make a leap. Just not a big enough one. (Projected #7 in NFC)
  • Green Bay Packers - A dynasty in the making. I predict a heavy dosage of Belt Celebrations all season long! (Projected #1 in NFC)
  • Minnesota Vikings - McNabb has his best teammate yet, behind him. It won’t deflect from that fact that he is too old. (Projected #11 in NFC)

NFC SOUTH -

  • Atlanta Falcons - Can they bounce back after getting smoked at home in the playoffs? Can their defense step up? (Projected #5 in NFC)
  • Carolina Panthers - Cam Newton will be fun to watch, but don’t expect much from this downtrodden bunch. (Projected #16 in NFC)
  • New Orleans Saints - Drew Brees will be electric again this season. Ingram is a big help in the running game too. (Projected #2 in NFC)
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Freeman is a stud. Blount should improve. Morris is a solid coach. But a heavy NFC hurts them. (Projected #8 in NFC)

NFC WEST -

  • Arizona Cardinals - Larry Fitzgerald finally has a competent QB again. But their defense is a mess and no running game. (Projected #9 in NFC)
  • St. Louis Rams - Being in this division is a mammoth advantage. This team will fly high in year 2 for Bradford. (Projected #6 in NFC)
  • San Francisco 49ers - Alex Smith is starting year 7 in the NFL. YEAR 7!!! Really?! WTF is going on in the Bay area??? (Projected #14 in NFC)
  • Seattle Seahawks - After an improbable playoff berth and win, they swap Hasselbeck for T Jax. Wow, that is awful. (Projected #15 in NFC)
